Na exposição DIANTE-DENTRO, é a imagem intersticial – resultado do efeito de paralaxe, do reposicionamento dos corpos e da sobreposição de campos perceptivos – que intui o devir, conceptualizando a denominada “imagem com relevo” e a relação entre ar (imagem) e pedra (objecto-escultura). Num primeiro núcleo da exposição, e a partir de colecções privadas, é apresentado um conjunto de cartões estereoscópicos, positivos em albumina e visores do séc. XIX, na constituição de uma antecâmara desenvolvida em parceria com a investigadora Ana David Mendes. A exposição inclui, a par deste intróito, projectos de artistas contemporâneos que reflectem as relações históricas entre o fotográfico e o escultórico na intersecção de imagens “esculpidas” e o dispositivo.
A fotografia atravessa o corpo e introduz-se entre o olhar e o mundo. Ao introduzir-se entre o olhar e o mundo subtrai imagens, acrescenta e produz novos objectos. Subtraídas ao mundo, aos corpos e aos objectos as imagens adicionam-se-lhe de novo, numa espécie de segunda pele, a que se seguem outras numa renovação permanente. Tudo fluí. Tal qual o rio de Heráclito. Em loop.

In the IN FRONT-WITHIN exhibition, it is the interstitial image – the result of the parallax effect, the repositioning of bodies and the superposition of perceptual fields – that intuits the future, conceptualizing the so-called “image with relief” and the relationship between air (image) and stone (object-sculpture). In a first section of the exhibition, based on private collections, a set of stereoscopic cards, positives in albumin and viewers from the 19th century will be presented, in the constitution of an antechamber developed in partnership with the researcher Ana David Mendes. The exhibition includes, alongside, projects by contemporary artists that reflect the historical relationships between the photographic and the sculptural at the intersection of “sculpted” images and the device.
