Tendo como ponto de partida o enquadramento da paisagem e a dimensão imagética da palavra, NÃO OLHAMOS DUAS VEZES A MESMA IMAGEM, propõe várias intervenções nos espaços da Biblioteca
(incluindo as salas de leitura) combinando fotografia e imagem em movimento na constituição de uma poética cruzada entre medium/matéria e lugar. Desde o conceito de “esquisso fotográfico” à foto-instalação, passando por manifestações de carácter híbrido, esta é uma proposta que coloca em cena o espaço agora ocupado, o texto-imagem ou a janela-ecrã que o emoldura.
Taking as a starting point the framing of the landscape and the imagery dimension of the word, WE DON’T LOOK TWICE THE SAME IMAGE, brings together a group of authors who will intervene in the various spaces of the Library (including the reading rooms) combining photography and moving images, drawing a poetics crossing between medium/matter and place. From the concept of “photographic sketch” to photo-installation, passing through installations of a hybrid nature, this proposal puts the occupied space, the text-image or the window-screen that frames it into the scene.

Nota: Os textos que se seguem, e que acompanham as obras de cada artista, são objectos que se afastam do tradicional texto explicativo, articulando um conjunto de referências abertas e auto-citações que funcionam como pedaços de um caleidoscópio próprio em constante mutação (absorção e variação), como uma tradução ou nota de rodapé, aplanando um certo horizonte especulativo e poético.
Note: The texts that follow, and that accompany the works of each artist, are objects that depart from the traditional explanatory text, articulating a set of open references and self-citations that function as pieces of a kaleidoscope of its own in constant mutation (absorption and variation), as a translation or footnote, flattening a certain speculative and poetic horizon.
