Ora, em Matéria e Memória, Henri Bergson apresenta a imagem de um universo em permanente movimento, formado por imagens que agem e reagem umas às outras. Relativamente às representações anteriormente proporcionadas pela ciência, esta proposição tem a vantagem de oferecer uma imagem móvel, constituída por elementos heterógenos compostos de modo a criar contactos (redes, atlas) sempre provisórios. Esta é a constelação que constitui Waterfront.
A obra Seat constitui-se de um grande arquivo de imagens projectadas onde é possível constituir uma espécie de léxico formal de diferentes cadeiras que lembram a relação do corpo com este objecto específico de design. O dispositivo arquivístico que a artista emprega cria uma situação em que a constelação de imagens de diferentes fontes se projecta literalmente numa cadeira pertencente ao escritor Alves Redol, não só enfatizando o seu valor histórico mas também criando uma ligação anacrónica entre tempos e configurações. In Matter and Memory, Henri Bergson presents the image of a universe in permanent movement, formed by images that act and react to each other. In relation to the representations previously provided by science, this proposition has the advantage of offering a moving image, constituted by heterogenous elements composed in order to create contacts (networks, atlas) that are always provisional. This is the constellation that constitutes Waterfront.
The work Seat consists of a large archive of projected images where it is possible to form a kind of formal lexicon of different chairs that recall the relationship of the body with this specific design object. The archival device that the artist employs creates a situation in which the constellation of images from different sources is literally projected onto a chair belonging to the writer Alves Redol, not only emphasizing its historical value but also creating an anachronistic link between times and configurations.
